Here’s a nice treat for you guys! Leftfield Live @ Homelands (the Massive UK Music Festival) from back in 2000. This was the huge show that combined the best from 1995′s Leftism & 1999′s Rhythm & Stealth.
Underworld (Karl Hyde & Rick Smith) are back at it again with “Scribble.” The track shares elements with “You Do Scribble“, an unreleased song which they featured many times since 2005 in their live performance shows. The track is made in collaboration with High Contrast. It also has several samples from Todd Terry’s “Let It Ride” from his 1999 Resolutions album.

and yet bypass Dallas for the mecca of electronic music: EL FUCKING PASO!
In an era where dance music wishes to remain faceless and everybody is wearing a mask of some sorts, at least the music speaks loudly in the event they have a “face for radio.” The Bloody Beetroots have been making their way more and more into my music selections and seeing some fair amounts of spins on edgeclub. Other than their names (Bob Rifo & Tommy Tea), we only know they come from Northern Italy.
They are obviously spending some time in Miami for the WMC and will be waving to us from 30,000 feet as they fly over Dallas. Grab this track and fill the ‘ole tank up & go see them. Have fun in El Paso y’all!
I guess the French are completely affraid of Texas. Must be, considering that they will never travel here! Danger (myspace) has been one of my favorite artists for the past year or so and has been getting a lot of love on edgeclub 102. He was here touring the States and Mexico this past September but is making the rounds again. If your in LA Firday night, I suggest you GO!
This dude is sick. That is all I really have to say about Sébastien Tellier and I’m stoked (yes I said stoked) that he is bringing the groove along with his greasy hair to North America. He’s ending his tour (so far) at Coachella which is shaping up to be (yet again) the festival of the year to be at!
Pick up some sick shit from Sebastien Tellier on iTunes
Tonight there’s some electro in the air. From Alabama, the mecca of electronic music, comes Computer Club. Been jamming his remixes on the show for a while and if I’m up late enough tonight I’ll do my best to check him out (along with local faves Left/Right & DJ Titan- Titan is doing the Late Night Guest Mix on edgeclub tomorrow night btw!)
Here are some goodies to get you grooving on this Friday and check out the party tonight at the World Famous Lizard Lounge:
This was recorded live from Trees (03/2002) in Dallas when Dom was opening for Goldie. The night was freaking insane!!! Thanks to the old Covert Ops crew for some memorable nights!
Dallas electro-lounge stars are shining bright these days. With a brand new cd blowing up and a handful of live gigs to see them at, it’s hard to not groove to the sounds of the Shock of Pleasure. They will be opening for Bitter:Sweet this Sunday at the House of Blues Dallas- so get your tickets NOW!!!
Check out these remixes I did for a couple of their tracks!
