here are the last 2 weeks of shows.  sorry on the late uploads.  gotta trick for the hardcore: take a look at the file locations, you can pretty much always be able to substitute the date out and dload or listen to shows that aren’t posted yet (or use as an extra method to search past shows).   also, if you don’t subscribe to the blog, it’s a great way to get the updates sent to you when they happen.  that way you get pinged, either by email, rss feed, iTunes, etc.   you can even be notified by text messages via Twitter.  You can subscribe any way you choose here.  Click that and choose a method.    anyway… i’m trying to catch up and i hear we have some nice single song mp3 uploads coming soon.  better late than never, right?  thanks for listening and all the emails!

a weekend camping trip in Central Texas netted this gem footage of some girl tripping her wig off on some acid.  here’s a quote from one of the campers the next morning:

“I asked Dru that afternoon if he heard about her and he said not until SHE walked up to him the next morning and out of the blue announced “Yeah… sometimes I like to take a lot of acid… I mean a LOT of acid… and just freak out.” He said he had no clue what she was talking about and he just kinda smiled and said “Right on!” HE heard more about it later. I guess she was told what she was doing and figured she would kinda let everyone know she was ok… because I can’t imagine her recalling all of that herself.”

wow.  some people…   let this be a lesson to the rest of you.  just say no!

These dweeby Norwegians have been funking up my cd player since 2001.  Their first album, Melody A.M. prolly didn’t leave my car’s cd changer for 4 years.  ”Eple” is still one of my all time favorite songs and DJ Merritt still uses it as a music bed when he does his weekend shifts on that radio station.  Hell, it was the bootup song for Apple’s OSX 10.3 code name Liger or some shit like that.  Any way, a month or so ago… I really can’t remember because I was in a mexican jail for passing out naked after a bender fueled by alcohol and ‘ludes the size of a mooseknuckle… anyway… Röyksopp hit us with a teaser for the new release called “Happy Birthday.”  This thing fucking sucked worse than a Black & Decker Pecker Wrecker a.k.a. a hooker with braces.  Well, the good news is that hunk of shit isn’t on the new release!!!  WOO-HOOO!!!  Well… the new release is their 3rd and it’s called ‘Junior’

Au Revoir Simone – “Paris (aeroplane remix)” – This is a dope ass cover of the Friendly Fires track “Paris” – The ladies love this one and if you want ladies to like you, you should play this around them.

This UK kid is on fire. I get about a hundred emails a week on this track alone! It’s a remix of Kid Sister’s “Pro Nails” (Chicago rapper Melisa Young) which had it’s own success, but Rusko took it to another level for sure!

When one thinks of dirty Italians, we’re obviously thinking of the dirty basslines from the duo Crookers aka DJ PHRA and Bot. You may have heard them remixing Armand Van Helden or the Chemical Brothers, but this time they funk up Cleveland Rapper Kid Cudi’s “Day ‘N’ Night” and keep the dance floors filled.

Now it’s time to get your hands on your waist line and move your body to the bass line!!! Been loving me some of Late of the Pier (4-piece band out of Castle Donington, England) for a minute now. They released one of the best cd’s out in August ’08 called Fantasy Black Channel and this remix by Tronik Youth is the hottness. Bathroom Gurgle is the song and moving your waistline is the game!
